Riccarton High School has welcomed international students for over 25 years. Typically, we host over 50 international students each year, for programmes of study from 10 weeks to 5 years. We are a diverse and inclusive high school, with a large and well-regarded English language department.

Riccarton High School is often recommended to students wanting specialist ESOL support at all levels of learning.
Located in Christchurch, the international gateway to New Zealand’s famous adventure tourism sites and activities, Riccarton High School students have access to the South Island’s beautiful attractions, while also benefiting from big city opportunities in Christchurch.

Tuition costs

$16,000 NZD per year/$4000 NZD per term (1 term=10 weeks) minimum enrolment length 10 weeks.

Accommodation

Homestay accommodation when required $320 nzd p/w in 2024. $340 nzd p/w in 2025.

Application process

No minimum English level required. Apply by submitting an Enrolment Contract, along with a letter of intention, any medical information, and your latest two school reports.
