We are a government school with a roll of over 800 students. The school has innovative programmes focused on developing every young man’s potential: academically, culturally, and physically.

Tuition costs

$16,500 for a full year, term 3 is $13,000, Term 2 is $9,000, Term One is $5000.

Homestay accommodation as organized by the school is $330 per week.

A wide range of sporting and cultural activities are offered: athletics, badminton, basketball, clay shooting, cricket, debating, drama, football, golf, gymnastics, hockey, mountain biking, music bands, rugby, rowing, school council, skateboarding, squash, swimming, surfing program with a professional coach, tennis, table tennis, rugby, rowing, volleyball, trampolining, triathlons, waka ama (Maori canoe racing).

Application process

Students need to have functional English language skills appropriate to the course they are doing. Tests are given at school in the first couple of weeks. An online interview may be required. Students are asked to provide the last two sets of subject reports at the school they are currently enrolled in it.

Gisborne is famous for its warm, maritime climate, its variety of locally grown products, and miles of beautiful surfing beaches. Surrounding the city are peaceful forests and mountains which create perfect opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a population of over 45,000 and we are the first place in the world to see the sunrise. Gisborne is a one-hour flight from Auckland Domestic Airport, a Meet and Greet service can be arranged for arriving students.
