Marlborough College Malaysia is an independent, British boarding and day school in Johor, close to the Singapore border. The Preparatory School takes pupils from age 3 and the Senior School includes a Sixth Form to age 18. There is Learning Enrichment provision, however, it is very limited.

Sports

Rugby, touch, rugby, football, netball, hockey, cricket, athletics, swimming, strength and conditioning and triathlon. Co-curricular activities are extensive and varies, it is not restricted to sports activities.

Application process

All pupils are assessed based on their age of entry. From Pre-School to Year 3, this is conducted via an informal classroom assessment. From Year 4 onwards, the assessment includes a CAT test, interviews with the Director of Admissions, Head of School and Housemaster or Housemistress (if a boarding school place is applied for). The College also requires a Head’s report from the child’s current school, which will be used as part of the assessment.

Features of the local area

Close to the Singapore border, 10mins from the Tuas crossing. Malaysia is also fortunate to be able to benefit from many natural resources, which the pupils use to full advantage for activities such as PADI certification and residential trips away.
