| Description | Marlborough College Malaysia is an independent, British boarding and day school in Johor, close to the Singapore border. The Preparatory School takes pupils from age 3 and the Senior School includes a Sixth Form to age 18. Pupils entering Marlborough College Malaysia join a community steeped in the tradition of placing compassion, companionship and conversation at the heart of its educational philosophy and a history, spanning over 175 years, of holistic education and academic excellence. | Application process | All pupils are assessed based on their age of entry. From Pre-School to Year 3, this is conducted via an informal classroom assessment. From Year 4 onwards, the assessment includes a CAT test, interviews with the Director of Admissions, Head of School and Housemaster or Housemistress (if a boarding school place is applied for). The College also requires a Head’s report from the child’s current school, which will be used as part of the assessment. |
| Features of the local area | Close to the Singapore border, 10mins from the Tuas crossing. Malaysia is also fortunate to be able to benefit from many natural resources, which the pupils use to full advantage for activities such as PADI certification and residential trips away. |
