Our 1:4 student-teacher ratio enables our dedicated teachers to deliver tailored learning for pupils of all academic abilities and permitting every individual to find the opportunity to excel. Our researcher in residence works closely with sixth form students throughout the process of career decisions, choosing and applying to a university. As a Microsoft Showcase School, every student and teacher is trained in the use of modern technology in the classroom, each child receives a surface, and they are integrated fully into the lessons. Our heads of house and head of student services make sure the students are integrated well and have a point of contact in case of any problem. All students meet regularly with our highly approachable team. Each boarder is registered with the local doctor and is accompanied on doctor visits by a house parent. Our unique Learning through the Outdoors programme has been designed to develop leadership, teamwork and resilience in our students.

Students need to sit a skype interview to evaluate their English level, as well as their overall potential, and take additional assessments in English and mathematics (for year 10 and up).
