Description | Kamo High School is a mid-sized co-ed school, small enough for everyone to know each other and yet big enough to provide a broad curriculum choice. Our grounds include a large swimming pool, all weather turf, Two gymnasiums and three full sized football/rugby fields. We are proud of our many purpose built facilities, including an agriculture/horticulture block with a new barn for indoor winter practical work, a celluloid photographic darkroom, a recording studio and a dance and theatre performance centre. Our staff are friendly, experienced, professionals who enjoy working with young people. We work together to ensure that all our students are happy and attaining educational and personal success. Tuition costs | Please refer to our price lists as it will depend on the students length of stay. One year fees start from $14,500 plus administration expenses. |
Accommodation | homestay,
We offer homestay family accommodation. Fees are presently from $250 per week (paid in advance at confirmation of enrollment). |
Student support | A purpose built student support centre, guidance counsellors, careers advisor, peer support, prefects, junior ambassadors, breakfast club, lunch club, homework club, kiwi buddies, student driven groups, mentoring programmes. |

Sports | Sports leadership, athletics, triathlon, cross country, cricket, futsal, swimming, rugby, fitness, netball, soccer/football, lacrosse, badminton, basketball, hockey, squash, volleyball, softball, dodgeball and a number of modified games. Extracurricular activities include: 40 hour famine, Australian Maths Competitions, chess, choir, debating, Kapa Haka, Mathex, MUNA (Model United Nations Assembly), Nga Manu Korero, Outdoor Pursuits Centre, Rock quest, R Tucker Thompson, school productions, speech competitions, Spirit of Adventure, Waka Ama, Beach 2 Basin, bowls, clay target shooting, Get 2 go, golf, orienteering, Air pistol shooting, surfing, table tennis and more. |
Application process | Initial email or telephone contact with the Manager - International Students regarding a prospective student is always welcome. Following this first contact, then e-mail (or hand deliver/post) the completed application forms to the school. Please include a copy of the student’s latest academic records (in English), the front page of the student passport photo page and a current health and medical certificate. |
