Westlake Boys High School offers an outstanding learning environment for teenage boys on the North Shore of Auckland. We believe that by providing a range of opportunities for our students, inside and outside of the classroom, we will help them discover their passion and fulfil their potential. 

We have high expectations of our students in everything that they do. We expect our young men to be well behaved and to have a positive attitude towards school. We insist upon the highest standards of dress, appearance and manners, and believe that a disciplined environment gives our students the best possible chance to be successful in all areas of school life.

Our priority for all our boys is academic success. We have the same high academic expectations for all those that graduate from Westlake whether they choose to attend University or go straight into the workforce. Our academic results are excellent and amongst the best in the country. Many of our students go on to study at top universities in New Zealand and across the world. Every year over the last ten years, a number of our boys have been amongst the very top scholars in New Zealand. Our staff work hard to ensure that all our students leave Westlake with a set of qualifications of which they are proud.

Our staff members are exceptionally committed to providing additional opportunities for our young men outside the classroom. Most of our teachers contribute to our co-curricular programme, making Westlake an exciting and supportive school of which to be part. We regularly gain national honours in sport and music in addition to many other local, regional, sporting and cultural achievements.
