Description | Our mission statement is: To provide a caring and stimulating environment to meet the varied intellectual, creative and physical needs of our young women. We believe your daughter is “Worth It”. We provide a caring atmosphere, a safe environment and clear guidelines for learning with a wide and relevant curriculum. The college has a variety of sport equipment and facilities including gymnasiums, weights and fitness room, indoor swimming pool complex with heated swimming pool, spacious fields and hard court areas for outdoor activities.

Accommodation | homestay,
Homestay: All our international students are required to be in homestay, organised by Homestay Auckland. All homestay families are police vetted and live locally within walking distance to the school or public transport (train or bus), is available. Under special circumstances, students may stay with family. No students can live by themselves in a flatting situation Homestay fees: 2019 /2020 Weekly homestay Accommodation fee $315.00 Placement Fees: Short term tours - up to 4 weeks $250.00 per student Long term Students (over 4 week to 1 year) $375.00 per student Change of homestay Fee: $200.00 Farewell Party: $55.00 per student Designated Care: $650.00 per student 1 year **please note: possible increase acorss all fee types in 2020**

Student support | Health Centre Our Hauora Centre (The Wellness centre) provides an opportunity for young women to learn autonomy for their physical and mental health. English as second language | We have Foundation classes for students who have limited or no English. The course covers all aspects of English language: reading, writing, vocabulary extension, listening and speaking, grammar and other related language skills Research and digital skills are incorporated into the programme |

Sports | Sports offered We have a wide range of sports, students can participate in as well as house competitions. Facilities |
Kelston Girls' is fortunate to have expansive school grounds with soccer and rugby fields, a large gymnasium, auditorium and a heated swimming pool and our Hauroa Centre (a fantastic Health Centre). Our classrooms are being upgraded into modern learning facilities where students are able to access information using computers in pods or your own devices. A small canteen is available for students to access food at morning tea and lunchtimes. Students are encourged to join in sports teams, dance and mentoring programmes

Application process | Students do not need to pass written tests to enter our college, but they will be required to submit current school reports and any other relevant information that will help us with the application process. You will have to sit an entrance test to determine your level of English. You can go to our website and download the application forms or email us to send the forms to you. Once we view the application, we will email you a provisional offer of place. |

Our school and region Kelston Girls' College is located in West Auckland, New Zealand. Auckland is New Zealand's largest and most diverse city. An urban environment where everyone lives within half and hour of beautiful beaches, hiking trials and a dozen enchanting holiday islands. The region is home to around 1.6 illion people with a sunny climate and magnificent naural scenery and beaches. Outstanding food and shopping centres close by create a vibrant lifesyle. Train and buses regularly travel into the city of Auckland where you can explore the City of Sails. The school is only 14km from the goreous Waitakere Ranges. The Waitakere Ranges Regional Park is where you can discover bush, native wildlife and rugged black sand surf beaches. With over 250 kilometres of walking tracks, the ranges are a wonderful place to explore on foot, surronded by beautiful scenery. |
