Description | Bethlehem College has a long history and proven reputation over the past 30 years of ensuring that students across all year levels (Years 1-13) access quality educational programmes and achieve high levels of proficiency. We also hold personal growth and development as a key part of our values, and will work alongside students and their families to provide opportunities for growth through sporting, creative and service channels. Our team is strongly committed to making sure each student knows they are seen, valued and supported and have means of building strong connections. |
Tuition costs | Application Fee $NZD500.00, Tuition for primary students is NZD$14,500.00 per year and for secondary students is NZD$17,000.00 per year. |
Accommodation | Homestay Accommodation is arranged by the school. In 2024, the cost will be NZD$300.00 per week. The student will have a room of their own. This amount is for full board including 3 meals each day (a prepared lunch on school days). If a student requires more than one change of homestay, a fee of one week's homestay ($300.00) may be incurred. Other: The estimated personal expenses for overseas students, per semester is $4,000. |
Student support | We have a team dedicated to the care and assistance of our international students. Extra activities are run for these students throughout the year. |

English as second language | We offer English language support classes across all year levels. ESOL classes are provided for our primary students (Years 1-6). Our secondary students may attend English classes taught by our specialist teachers in a smaller class-size environment, where they can upskill in foundational aspects while studying the same or similar content as students in mainstream English. |

Sports | Bethlehem College offers a wide range of sporting activities. Many are incorporated into the curriculum and all students are expected to participate. |

As part of the application process, applicants may be tested to gauge their language levels. To gain entry to Bethlehem College Secondary, your child will need to speak and understand a reasonable level of the English language. |

Curriculum | Bethlehem College offers the New Zealand National Curriculum and students study for National Certificate in Educational Achievement qualifications (NCEA). All international students are placed directly into mainstream classes. |
