Description | St Augustine’s College, Sydney is located in the prestigious suburbs of the Northern Beaches. As an Independent Catholic Boys school, we pride ourselves in our dedication to providing quality education, teaching the boys about life and quality relationships modeled to us through the Catholic faith. The College boasts a sophisticated range of technologies throughout the school, state of the art facilities, and most importantly demonstrates a strong sense of community, uniting students and parents with the staff. |
Tuition costs | $33,000 (tuition only) per year |
Accommodation | All students, regardless of age, are placed in homestay accommodation by the school. The exception is for the student to live with their family (parents) if they live in Sydney. Approx. cost of homestay is $265/week, this includes 2 x meals on weekdays and 3 x meals on weekends. All students U/18yrs are appointed a guardian by the College. All guardians are carefully chosen and interviewed by the Executive Office and must enter an agreement with the College and the student. |

Student support | The College has a full time Counsellor on staff which the boys are able to use, we also have Junior and Senior Academic specialists to aid with study habits, etc. A new Collaborative Learning Centre has also been created to assist our senior students in preparing for university and their desired careers. |

Special programs | St Augustine's College embraces our Social Justice Group, and in particular SEA (Service-Education-Awareness) Program. The program is designed to educate our students by providing opportunities where they can better themselves and serve/help those who are less fortunate within our communities, both local and abroad. The College has strong ties with communities in the Philippines, Cambodia and Nepal. |
Sports | All students are required to participate in a minimum of 1 co-curricular activity. Activities include basketball, rugby, soccer (football), drama, chess, debating, tennis, etc. |
Facilities | The College boasts a up-to-date, high-tech resource centre whilst still offering the traditional library facilities. Providing a multimedia room, two IT areas with networked computers, two seminar rooms as well as the traditional fiction and non-fiction book sections, we are able to equip our students with the resources required to excel in their learning. |
Application process | Students are required to complete and submit the application form(s), along with copies of their previous and current school reports and a least one recommendation letter with detailed contact information. If the student has not completed and Internationally recognised English Test, they are required to complete a minimum of 20 weeks Intensive English School prior to commencing at the College. The student will also be interviewed either via phone or in person (if possible) by Miss Vivian. |
Features of the local area | The College is located on the beautiful and picturesque Northern Beaches of Sydney, just 30 mins from the CBD of Sydney, we are easily accessible by public transport. The Northern Beaches area represents a relaxed surf culture, embracing the health and fitness amenities provided by the natural environment and local councils. Growing communities is creating cause for redevelopment and improvement to transportation and amenities. |
Curriculum | Curriculum is based on guidelines provided by the NSW Board of Studies, however our programs can be tailor-made to assist our students achieve their goals and desired outcomes. |
