Description

We are a co-ed school with a role of 750 Year 9 - 13 students. Rotorua Lakes High School is situated on a picturesque site above the eastern shores of Lake Rotorua within a 10 minute drive of the city of Rotorua which has a population of approximately 55000. We offer a caring and disciplined environment, high quality learning with a commitment to the individual needs of its students and a wide range of co-curricular activities including sporting, cultural, music and performing arts. Rotorua is regarded as a world class mountain biking destination.

Tuition costs

$15000 per annum plus other costs as described in our booklet.

Accommodation

We will arrange suitable homestay accommodation. Cost per week per student is $350.

Student support

All students must have a Rotorua Lakes High School approved Agent or Guardian/Caregiver, nominated on their Application Form who can be contacted at all times for their period of study at RLHS. If a student does not have an appointed guardian/caregiver, the school will arrange for a suitable person/company to fulfill this role after consultation with the parents. The Dean of International Students and support staff are always available for students experiencing problems either at school or in their homestay.

Application process

Students are required to complete an Application/Pre enrolment Form and supplementary information for Host Families which allows us to place students with like minded host families. Assessment testing will take place during orientation which will determine class placement.

Rotorua is a small, multicultural city where you will meet friendly and welcoming people. Rotorua is a popular mountain biking destination having some of the best tracks in the country. Rotorua is a popular tourist destination with domestic and international travellers. Surrounded by beautiful lakes it is situated in the central North Island.
