Description King’s High School is a state secondary school located close to the beautiful St Clair Beach in Dunedin. King’s High School’s academic results are some of the best in New Zealand for boys schools & added to this has an exceptional sporting history. At King’s our primary objective is ‘Building Men for Life’ & committing our boys to personal excellence. Our point of difference is that we practice a values-awareness education system. As a result of this King’s is a diverse and inclusive environment for all students. There are a variety of opportunities for all students ranging from amazing Outdoor Education experiences, sports, to cultural activities and of course our priority, a wide range of academic subject choices with specialist Scholarship classes available at Year 13. The staff within the international department of King’s High School work extremely hard ensuring international students are looked after and have a wonderful educational experience.

Our dedicated Homestay Co-ordinator will arrange and supervise homestay placements for all students.

Student support

As a signatory to the code of practice King’s have excellent Pastoral Care programmes in place under the guidance of School Deans, Group Teachers, Guidance Counsellor, Careers’ Adviser, Homestay Co-Ordinator and the Director of International Students.

King's offers specialist ESOL programmes taught by trained ESOL teachers. Programmes are created for individual international students.

Sports
